Q: What is my minimum order? A: Our Minimum order is just one item, but the cost of one item will be to much as when we add the shipping to it it is pricy. So therefore load it up to save on the the cost. (This could be as little as approximately $10.00). We know that many of our customers are small businesses (just as we are a small, family business!). We do everything possible to make it possible for even those smallest gourmet food or gift basket packer to deal with us. Having the lowest minimum order in the industry is just one more way to make us your "One-Stop Shop" for all of your wholeslae gourmet foods and gift basket supplies! Please note that for orders under $250.00, a $15.00 surcharge APPLIES TO OUR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS (simply to cover the cost of completing all of the necessary paperwork) will apply.
Q: Can I return my order if I am not fully satisfied? A: We absolutely, positively guarantee that all products that you order from marksmarket.ca are of high quality and in perfect physical condition when they are shipped from our facility! Count & inspect your shipment carefully upon delivery. Claims for damaged goods must be within 14 days of receipt (preferably at the time of delivery) and must be authorized by www.marksmarket.ca. Claims must be made within 14 days of receipt. Unfortunately, we cannot issue credits for product after 14 days.
Please call the order desk for authorization at 1-403-362-4461 ask for MARK. Please be advised that products returned (for any reason) without authorization will not be accepted.
Please also be advised that there is a 25% re-stocking charge for all non-damaged goods that have been authorized for return. As well, you are responsible for all shipping and handling charges incurred for the authorized goods to be returned to our facility.
Please also note that there are no returns on seasonal items.
Q: How will my order be shipped? A: Depending on your location and the size of your order, we use one of a number of different couriers including FedEx, UPS, Canpar and Canada Post / US Post. For larger orders, we use a wide range of established and reputable trucking companies.
Q: What will I be charged for shipping? A: Orders between:
$1.00 and $10.00 will be charged an extra $10.00 shipping
$10.00 and $49.00 will be charged an extra $20.00 shipping
$50.00 and $99.00 will be charged an extra $30.00 shipping
$100.00 and $199.00 will be charged an extra $40.00 shipping
$200.00+ will be charged an extra $50.00 shipping
Q: Is my shipment insured for damages? A: Yes! We make every reasonable effort to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition. However, should any of your order be damaged in transit, it is insured. However, (even better from your perspective!), we take care of making the insurance claim with the courier or trucking company involved. If your order is damaged in transit, please contact one of our Customer Care Representatives at 1-403-360-4461 and we will be pleased to assist you.
Please be advised that all damage claims must be made within 14 days of receipt (preferably at the time of delivery). Unfortunately, we cannot issue credits for product after 14 days as the courier companies refuse to consider any claims beyond 14 days from the date of receipt.
Q: Can I place my order now for a future shipping date? A: Yes! As you are completing your check-out process, simply fill in the date that you would like your order to be shipped and we will ensure that your order goes out according to your request.
Q: Is the weather a concern shipping my order? A: Yes, sometimes the weather can be a factor in determining when we can ship some items. Extremes in temperature (e.g. the heat & humidity of July and August and the sub-zero nights of January and February) can occasionally delay shipments. However, we monitor weather conditions across North America on an ongoing basis and ship your order only when it is safe to do so. If there are any significant delays in shipping as a result of the weather, we will advise you by email or telephone. However, www.marksmarket.ca cannot be held responsible for lost business or other claims due to weather-related issues.
Q: I'm in the USA, is getting my order over the border a problem? A: We ship orders across Canada and America daily. We are extremely well versed in all of the cross-border issues involved in this type of shipping, including all of extensive requirements for Homeland Security. Shipping your order to any of the 50 United States is not a problem for us!
Q: Can I have my order shipped to another address? A: Yes. If you want to have your order shipped to another one of your locations, during the check-out process, simply complete the "Ship To" fields and we'll ensure that your order is delivered according to your specifications.
Q: When will my order arrive? A: Depending on your location, orders can arrive within 24 hours of shipment from our warehouse. However, the greater the distance from our warehouse, the greater the transit time. For orders to the EAST Coast of Canada and America, transit times can be up to 4 - 5 business days. If your shipment is time sensitive, there are other (more expensive) expedited shipping methods. Please also be advised that depending on the time of year (eg. the busy Christmas / Holiday Season), weather conditions can delay the shipping of some of our products.
Q: What happens if a product that I orderd is out-of-stock? A: With our state-of-the-art inventory control system, we are able to minimize our out-of-stocks. Products that are out-of-stock are quickly updated on our website as they occur. Wherever possible, the date when the out-of-stock is expected back in stock is listed. However, despite our very best efforts, unforeseen and unavoidable situations can occur. If an item is out of stock, we will try to contact you with a suitable substitute(s). We will try to hold the order as long as possible if we are unable to reach you promptly. Generally, we will hold your order until the next business day, at which point we will make a judgement call to substitute a similar product or short-ship your order. During the Account Sign-up process, please provide your daytime or cell phone number to expedite this process if it becomes necessary.
Q: What if my order is back-ordered? A: Unfortunately, we are unable to keep back orders in our system. If a product that you have ordered is back ordered, please re-order it on your next order. We try very hard to ensure that our website is current with all products that are in stock and out-of-stock. However, unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances (such as an unusually large order that depletes all stock) occasionally arise.
Q: I need to make a claim for shortages or damages. What should I do? A: If at all possible, all damages MUST be reported immediately to the Carrier Company (i.e. upon recipt of your order.) If this is not possible (because they were not noticed until the shipment was unpacked for example), you MUST make your claim for damages immediately upon discovery of those damages. Please DO NOT dispose of these items without authorization or your claim may be denied by the carrier. All short shipments or discrepancies MUST be reported immediately via phone (1-403-362-4461) or e-mail@[email protected] Regretfully, we are unable to process any claims for orders received more than 14 days previously.
Q: What is the shelf life of the products I order? A: Shelf Life indicated under each product is from the date of manufacture, not from the date you receive the order. We purposefully select products that a have a minimum shelf life of no less than 6 to 9 months. Many of our products have a shelf life significantly longer than 6 - 9 months. Shelf life is normally indicated in the "Product Details" section.
